And so it begins....

Michigan is now up 7-0 on a first quarter touchdown pass to Jason Avant. Last season's game Michigan-Michigan State matchup was an instant classic, with Michigan winning in triple overtime, after a 17-point fourth-quarter comeback, led by Braylon Edwards.

Today's game is shaping up to another classic. Michigan State started strong, punting and putting Michigan State on their own 2-yard line. Thanks to a 44-yard run by Mike Hart, Michigan completed a 98-yard drive to take an early 7-0 lead.

Michigan's defense looks hungry and up-to-the task today, after forcing Stanton to scramble several times in his first two possessions., and collecting one sack for a 13-yard loss.

The return of Mike Hart and the strong play of the defense should be enough to give the Wolverines the push they need to defeat the Spartans. I'm predicting a 31-28 win by the Wolverines.
